Company ProfileViralab was founded in 2003 to distribute and represent products manufactured by Viramed Biotech AG of Munich Germany. Viramed was founded in 1983 in the heart of Southern Germany's biotech region. Originally manufacturing ELISA products for the German clinical market, Viramed became a leading manufacturer of Western blots in the early 1990's. Viramed developed the only P.E.I. approved confirmatory Western blot for Syphilis, the T. pallidum Western blot. In 2005 Viralab with Viramed released the Borrelia B31 blot for U.S. distribution. Having an established Borrelia blot market in Europe, Viramed re-engineered the Lyme Virablot exclusively for the American market. In concert with top researchers, the Borrelia blot is a premier diagnostic blot for the clinical market. Innovations and new generations of blots are continually being developed. We have been lucky to work with some of the best laboratories and researchers in the United States. Their continued praise and encouragement give us the direction and vision to grow.
