Viralab has conveniently packaged all necessary reagents for Western Blotting in a single Reagent Pack. The final concentrations of reagents are optimized for a typical Western blot procedure requiring 30 minute incubation periods. All Viramed Western blot membranes can be used with these Reagent Packs. Researchers will need to adjust their blot antigen concentrations to work within the Reagent Pack optimized ranges. Generally, sample and conjugate incubations of 1 hour or less will work with these reagent packs. Substrate incubations should not exceed 20 minutes to minimize background staining.
The Reagent Pack contains the following Reagents: 1) Sample Diluent/Wash Buffer Concentrate 10x - Sufficient for 1.0L of Wash Buffer or Sample Diluent. Sufficient buffer is provided for processing 50 Western blot strips with a volume of 1.5mL per test strip.
2) Sample Diluent/Wash Powder Concentrate - Sufficient for 1.0L of Wash Buffer or Sample Diluent. Aids as a blocking agent to non-specific binding when added to the diluted buffer component.
3) Chromogen/Substrate Solution - Ready to Use Sufficient for processing 50 Western blot strips with a volume of 1.5mL per test strip. FOR USE WITH ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE CONJUGATES ONLY
4) Anti-human IgG, IgM or IgA antibody conjugated to alkaline phosphatase 10x- Sufficient for 50 Western blot strips with a volume of 1.5mL per test strip.
